On May 25, Consul-General Li Xuhang met with Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), accompanied by Deputy Consul-General Liu Zhengjie. Also attending the meeting were the delegation led by Sun Qingfeng, Deputy Director of Hangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, as well as representatives of Chinese School Dubai and Confucius Institute at the University of Dubai.
Li Xuhang expressed his appreciation and gratitude for KHDA’s active efforts in creating and developing Chinese School Dubai. He said that as visits between the Chinese and the UAE people become increasingly frequent, the Consulate-General is willing to actively strengthen friendly exchanges and practical cooperation with KHDA to expand Chinese language education, develop basic education, facilitate the mutual recognition of higher education degrees and establish branch campuses. He hoped the two sides to strengthen exchange visits and continue to achieve fruitful results.
Abdulla Al Karam introduced the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and welcomed more Chinese schools to invest in education in Dubai. He expressed his willingness to work with the Chinese side and keep encouraging educational cooperation between the two sides for resource sharing, strength complementation and win-win cooperation.
