Consul General Li Xuhang visits CSCEC Middle East

On August 20th, Consul General Li Xuhang and some colleagues visited CSCEC Middle East and exchanged with the General Manager Yu Tao and other senior executives.

Yu Tao introduced the growth of CSCEC in Middle East. The Consul General made positive remarks on the achievements they have made with hard work and entrepreneurship over the years. Li Xuhang pointed out that CSCEC Middle East has been at the forefront of the market from scratch and endured the test of the financial crisis overcoming many hurdles. Through constant self-challenge and reform, it has trained a team of talents with knowledge of technology, foreign languages, international standards and local regulations. The company has accumulated rich experience in local management and realized business transformation and upgrading. It has won recognition from local governments and clients and created a globally well-known brand of Chinese enterprises. It is hoped that in the new era, the company will continue to carry forward the pioneering spirit and contribute more to the Belt and Road Initiative and China-UAE relations.

Later, Li Xuhang and his colleagues had interactions with the staff of CSCEC Middle East. They had in-depth discussion on the topics such as the present and future of the construction market in Dubai, the main difficulties and challenges for Chinese companies entering the Dubai market, and how the Consulate General can better serve the enterprises.

Since its establishment in 2005, the business of CSCEC Middle East has covered the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and the Gulf of Oman. It has over 1,700 managers and 14,000 workers and has become the largest international engineering contractor in the Middle East. In 2019, the company won the 10th Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award, which established an excellent image of a multinational enterprise in the Chinese construction industry in the Middle East.
