Embassies and Consulate in UAE Convene the Fourth Video Conference on Pandemic Prevention and Control for Chinese Enterprises

In order to provide better guidance for Chinese enterprises in the UAE to fight against the pandemic and prevent the coronavirus from entering the country, on August 17, the embassies and consulate in the UAE held the fourth video meeting on the prevention and control of the pandemic for Chinese enterprises in the UAE. The meeting was presided over by Li Xuhang, the Consular General in Dubai, and Ni Jian, Ambassador to the UAE, delivered a speech. Heads of more than 30 Chinese enterprises in the UAE attended the meeting.

Ambassador Ni Jian conveyed relevant instructions and deployments from China, requesting Chinese enterprises in the UAE to further enhance their political awareness and clarify their responsibilities. They should also see the big picture while keep the bottom line. Continuous prevention and control of the pandemic is still the top priority. We should learn lessons from our recent work on the pandemic prevention and implement various prevention measures strictly to serve the overall goal of China in fighting against the pandemic.

Consul General Li Xuhang asked Chinese enterprises in the UAE to fully understand the complex and severe situation of the coronavirus outside China and sort out shortcomings and loopholes in all aspects of the prevention and control of the coronavirus to continuously improve the normalized plans and measures and to effectively protect the health and safety of all employees.

The heads of China Petroleum Engineering and Construction, CSCEC Middle East, and Shanghai Electric shared their reflections on the problems and response measures during their recent work on the pandemic prevention and control. They all expressed that their companies will earnestly fulfil their responsibilities and continue the prevention and control work in a timely, practical, and meticulous manner to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus in China.
