Consul General Li Xuhang Meets With Director General of DHA

On March 11, Consul General Li Xuhang met with Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, the Director General of Dubai Health Authority. Vice Consul-General Sun Xudong, Deputy Director General of DHA, and CEO of Dubai Healthcare Corporation Younis Kazem attended the meeting.

Li Xuhang said that since the outbreak of Covid-19, China and the UAE have supported and helped each other, and have carried out extensive and close cooperation in areas such as joint prevention and control, exchange of experience, and production and distribution of medical supplies. Since Dr. Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi assuming his office, he has led the Dubai Health Authority to take a series of active and effective measures to prevent Covid-19. The epidemic in Dubai has been effectively controlled, the number of confirmed cases has steadily declined, and the confidence of residents from various countries, including overseas Chinese, in fighting Covid-19 has continued to increase. The prevention and control of Covid-19 around the world are still facing enormous challenge. The coronavirus is the common enemy of mankind. All countries in the world must unite to cope with this challenge. China is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority and share successful experience in the fight against Covid-19.

Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi said that the Dubai government expressed admiration for China's achievements in responding to Covid-19. China-UAE relations are particularly friendly. During the epidemic, the two countries aid each for the common benefit of controlling the epidemic, which reflects the profound friendship between the governments and peoples of the two countries. The Dubai Health Authority is willing to work hand in hand with China to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fight against Covid-19 and in other medical and health areas, aiming to win the victory in this fight together.
